Fellview Barn is a lovely stone barn conversion is in the peaceful hamlet of Heggerscale, just four miles from the historic market town of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria. Perfectly located on no through lane leading straight to fells. Surrounded by stunning countryside and with magnificent views over the Pennine hills, this delightful cottage location is perfect for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District and Northern Pennines.

Comfortably furnished with a homely feel, there is a cosy sitting room with character beams and a warming wood burning stove set in a stone feature fireplace. Open the French doors to drink in the panoramic views of the beautiful scenery. The modern kitchen has a dining area to one end, whilst upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms with full height ceilings with original beams and stone window sills.

With vistas from every window, this tranquil barn conversion is in the ideal location for re-charging the batteries. Outside, you can sit and relax in the pleasant garden. This property is located on a quiet no through road leading straight on to the fells, with various public footpaths/bridle paths leading off.

A 10 minute drive brings you to Kirkby Stephen, where you will find Co-op supermarket, tea rooms, shops, restaurants, takeaways and pubs. Nearest dog friendly pub is the BAY HORSE in WINTON  just over 2 miles away. Stroll around the quaint streets and cobbled yards or enjoy a picnic on the banks of the River Eden. Close by, Howgill Fells, a favourite of Wainwright, is well worth the exhilarating climb, while the famous Coast-to-Coast route passes nearby, and  Nine standards Rigg  walk near Kirkby Stephen. Enjoy a trip on the wonderful, historic Settle-Carlisle Railway from Kirkby Stephen railway station or take a drive to Lake Distict national park,  Reeth, Hawes, etc in Yorkshire Dales national park, High force waterfall is a short drive Or to Barnard Castle where you can discover the vibrant shops and visit Bowes Museum, housing the famous silver swan.

We are dog owners and lovers who pride ourselves in not having lots of dog rules, ensuring our guests feel at home as soon as they arrive at Fell View Barn.

HERE’s WHY

  • Welcome multiple dogs, however this is discussed on enquiry, so we are all happy with the amount of suitable space at Fell View Barn
  • Only take guests with at least one dog
  • No breed restrictions
  • No charge for dogs
  • Dogs are allowed everywhere in Fell View Barn and on furniture if covered with throws provided
  • Fully enclosed rear garden 5 -6 feet mixture of dry stone wall and post and rail fencing with strong wire mesh above all fully filled in to ground level (see photo) more on request.  patio and lawn,
  • Location and property is very private and not over looked so suitable for nervous dogs
  • Provide towels/throws/poo bags and spare dog beds but please feel free to bring own to help your dog settle.

Please note Fell View is situated in a rural location, therefore at certain times of the year there will be sheep in fields. Dogs must be kept under strict control when out and about.
